EYFS Information and Eylog

The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum:

As a provider we are required to use the revised EYFS to ensure that parents can be confident that their child will receive a quality experience that supports their development and learning. The statutory early learning goals establish expectations for most children to reach by the end of the EYFS. They provide the basis for planning throughout the EYFS, so laying secure foundations from birth for future learning. By the end of the EYFS, some children will have exceeded the goals. Other children, depending on their individual needs, will be working towards some or all of the goals - particularly some younger children, some children with learning difficulties and disabilities and some learning English as an additional language.

Eylog is an itegrated online and mobile application for childcare providers to easily capture and securely manage the learning journey of a child in an electric format.

Using this secure mobile online device, we as nursery practionors can easily create and maintain a childs EYFS learning journey with all the relevant milestones, text, photo's, audios and videos.

The seven areas of Learning and Development are divided into three “Prime Areas” and four “Specific Areas”.

The prime areas develop quickly in response to relationships and experiences. They run through and support learning in all other areas. The prime areas continue to be fundamental throughout the EYFS.

The Prime Areas are:

The specific areas include essential skills and knowledge. They grow out of the prime areas, and provide important contexts for learning. The Specific Areas are:

  • Expressive Arts and Design
